I have planned to buy an HDTV. TH-58PZ800U plasma TV is the Panasonic a better choice for an LCD TV? ?

I plan to buy an HDTV. TH-58PZ800U is the Panasonic plasma TV a better choice for an LCD TV? I read the reviews, but those who seem to be more critical. PLEASE ADVICE.

Hello, I personally recommend buying the plasma. Plasmas give you more for your money in the end, and while LCDs can give better resolution, plasma still has the advantage in terms of image quality. The plasma and LCD screens are similar, but the flat screen and thin profile where the similarities end. plasma screens, as its name suggests, uses a matrix of tiny gas plasma cells charged by precise electrical voltages to create an image. LCD (liquid crystal display) are secular in sandwiches composed of liquid crystal pushed in the space between two glass plates. The images are created by varying the amount of costs applied electric crystals. Both plasma and LCD TVs produce great images. What are the advantages of plasma over LCD has? Apart from better contrast due to its ability to show deeper blacks, plasma screens typically have better viewing angle than LCDs. Viewing angles are how far you can sit on any side of the screen before the picture quality is affected. You tend to see a certain tendency to brightness and color when it is far from an angle with LCD screens, while a plasma picture remains fairly solid. It is changing, however, with increasing LCD on the market with viewing angles equal to or greater than some plasmas. Plasmas can also produce a brighter color, again, because of light leakage on an LCD screen that affect the color saturation. What advantages LCD has over plasma? Besides being competitively priced LCD has the edge over plasma in several key areas. LCD plasmas tend to have higher native resolution size similar, which means more pixels on a screen. LCD also tend to consume less power than plasma screens, with estimates ranging from energy saving that up to 30 percent less than plasma. LCDs are generally lighter than similar sized plasmas, making it easier to move or wall. Consider buying online, much cheaper, and many suppliers offer free delivery. Good luck! How do I mount a plasma television and hide the wires?

I am looking to mount a 42 inch plasma with hiding most of the wires. I need some tips, suggestions and help. Or should I even waste my time.

You can run them through the wall.
It’s not that difficult, if you need help, find someone that knows how to do it. You will need a small hole behind the TV where the wires need to come out to plug in the TV, you will have to “fish” the wires through the wall from the bottom (where you will need a small hole also). The small holes can be covered with wall plates like the ones you use for the switch or socket plates, however they are solid except for one single hole for the wire.
It’s not hard and somebody knows how to do this if you don’t.
Good Luck !

Plasma TV Installation

Everyone has been joining the plasma TV craze and updating to the latest technology as the prices continue to drop down to Earth. The biggest problem that many homeowners have is they can purchase the new TV monitor on their own, but don’t know how to install it on their own.

Do you need professional installation? The short answer – no. It depends on many factors. If you buy a TV stand, it’s simply a matter of lining up the holes on the TV and placing it on the stand. If you’ve got reasonable carpentry skills, you may be able to wall mount your TV on your own. This will mean that you have the ability to find the wall studs and attach the wall mount with the appropriate hardware for your studs (whether they are made of wood or metal.)

Where most people need the help of a professional is when they are mounting their new plasma television and need extras or attributes that most people cannot handle themselves.

If you don’t want to have your power cord hanging down the wall from your TV, you may need to <a ref=”http://www.constructiondeal.com/landingCategory.pub?categoryId=29&”>hire a local electrician</a> to install an outlet behind your monitor. It is not advisable and is, more than likely, against electrical codes for you to run the power cord through the wall and down to an outlet closer to the floor. You may also try to have the electrician make the outlet recessed so that you have plenty of room for the cord and plug to fit. Try to find a surge protector that be placed on a single power cord plug – if you cannot find protection at that outlet, it would be a good idea to have a whole house surge protector installed at your main electrical box.

If you’re looking for a movable or adjustable plasma display, it would be a good idea to have an installer put in an articulating arm for your monitor – it allows you to pull the TV out and turn it in various directions to be able to view it from different parts of the room or house.

If you’re looking to hide most of your cables and wire, hiring a home theater installer would be a good idea. They know how to run cables and have the right tools to make sure the fewest amount of holes need to be made in your walls and ceilings. They can help make sure you use the right cables for your system and make sure you have the correct lengths of cables and wires for ultimate performance.

If you’re installing your plasma TV over the fireplace, many do not have the ability to install directly to the fireplace stone or brickwork around the area. A professional installer can help get the monitor up on your fireplace and can make sure it stays there. You’re spending a lot of money for a plasma display and you want to make sure nothing happens to it.

To find a quality A/V installer or home theater professional, you can use Construction Deal — all you need to do is post your request on our website and it will go out to our network of experts in your area. For a small investment in your system, you’ll be rewarded with years of quality plasma TV viewing. And it’s a free service to find an installer in your area.

If you only go with the installers where you bought your TV, you won’t have any other bids to choose from. This means you could end up paying more for the installation. Save time and money and choose Construction Deal!

I need a new TV and don’t know what to buy plasma, dlp, lcd, projection? I need advice on what to buy?

I need a new TV and I am not sure what is best to buy – LCD, DLP, Plasma, Projection ? I don’t know anything about each of them and it confuses me the more I listen to salesmen. I need to know what is the best for the price and what will last a long time?

I personally wouldn’t buy a LCD Rear Pro, cheap as they are to start with, you do have to replace bulbs over the years to come. They also have terrible viewing angles off to the sides, and don’t look good under light conditions! We haven’t been selling too many of them in recent months with the price of LCD and Plasma now.

DLP has come and gone in New Zealand, and we are behind the times!

So here put simply is the differences between Plasma and LCD.

LCD’s: Higher resolution (Sharper),brighter, non-reflective.

PLASMA: Faster processor for movement, (Smoother images) more natural colours (because of higher contrasts),and 3 dimensional look.

Most people are buying LCDs, as with HD TV they look that much sharper, etc. If you are a sports fanatic, recommend Plasma still, because of lots of movement, but for general TV, Dvds, and gaming, LCD. Follow the trend!

Both are great technologies, just different! Similar prices across the board too.

It seems that no matter who you talk too, or read reviews about, Plasma still comes up with the overall best picture, but most people would rather have Sharper Image, and Non-Reflective screen, than a more Realistic Image with Smoother Movement?!?!

Recommend: Sony/Samsung/Sharp LCDs. Panasonic/Pioneer/Samsung plasmas.

Hope this helps and all the best!

LCD and Plasma TV Mounting and Installation

The LCD and Plasma TVs which have a great picture quality are the most ideal TV sets for any home as they match all kinds of home decors. The Plasma TVs and LCD TVs are ideal for wall mounting because of their sleek structure and comparatively light weight panels. Mounting on the wall is perfect to watch these flat panel TVs as the picture quality looks great and its sleek and slender body allows for less space consumption compared to the non flat panel TVs. The traditional TVs might need their own stands and consume a lot of internal space whereas these LCD TVs can be just mounted on the wall. The wall mounting can also be adjusted to heighten your viewing experience to the optimum.

Considering the number of gadgets and sound systems that you would need to attach to your LCD TV, choosing either an interior wall or an exterior wall for mounting the TV is an important choice. While attaching sound systems and DVD Players, choosing an interior wall for mounting is a good option. Utilizing a VESA compatible Plasma TV is a great option. The VESA or Video Electronics Standards Association compatible TV ensures that it will fit the durable VESA LCD TV mounts. Selecting the best type of mount for your TV is important. You need to find the perfect size that fits your LCD TV and also the perfect type. A variety of flat screen TV Wall mounts are available which includes a fixed universal mount, one that tilts fully and an articulating arm mount.

If you are looking for an easy installation process and an inexpensive wall mount, the Universal Fixed or Low Profile LCD Mount should be your choice. The bubble level in this model helps in the easy installation process although, it makes it fixed and unmovable. One negative aspect in this type is that, every time you need to add cable connections, you would be required to take out the whole installation and install it all over again. This TV mount is ideal for TVs that are 37 to 63 inches and are also fit the standards of VESA mounting hardware.

The Universal Tilting LCD and Plasma TV mount is slightly more expensive than the Universal Fixed LCD mount even though the installation process is quite similar. The reason for the pricier tag of the Universal Tilting LCD Mount is the fact that its viewing can be adjusted by the viewers for a better viewing experience. This also means that every time you need to add new cables, you do not need to uninstall the mount and reinstall it. This also fits 37 to 63 inch TVs and can hold up to 200 pounds. The Articulating LCD TV mount though, has the perfect viewing angles as it can be tilted from -5 to  15 degrees up and down and pans 180 degrees side to side. A good model which fits all the VESA requirements and is highly efficient is the Sylvania SYL-MA3210B. It is advisable to get a professional to install the mount if you’re new to the task.
