How should I get my camera’s LCD back-light fixed?
I have a Fujifilm F40fd, which I bought around two years ago. Recently, the LCD’s back-light stopped working, so I can’t really use the viewfinder.
How should I get this fixed?
When I say back-light, I mean if the sun is directly on the screen, you can see the ‘Fujifilm’ logo when you first turn it on, so the screen technically works, but whatever is lighting it from inside is broken.
What do you mean “back light”? If you’re saying the screen no longer works that I understand. Professional repair or a new camera.
Since, from what I see on line, the camera has no view finder that would be a problem.

This has been happening for sometime now. Like yesterday I was tighting in a cable fitting and my hands started to hurt a lot right under my thumbs again. Motions like that bring it the strongest. When I’m not doing anything they’re just fine.
There are 7 small bones in the wrist. Often associated with carpal tunnel syndrome..The one closest to the thumb will have an effect in the thumb area.. If you press on that little bone you will become aware of the tenderness, even when not experiencing the pain and swelling you refer to. If you are unable to reduce that bone to its proper position, perhaps you would consider visiting your local doctor of Chiropractic and having him/her do it for you.

The product arrived exactly on the dtae promised, I actually saw the UPS truck stop, so I was able to open the door and have the delivery man put the box where I wanted it. After I got the table out of the box, I turned to the instruction sheet. I found the instructions VERY difficult to follow, although it was obvious to me what steps had to be taken and the order in which they should they should be taken. After some choice words to the unknown writers of the instructions, I was able to put together a “Thing of Beauty”. I have used the equipment on several projects and it has performed perfectly. Thank you for an excellent, usable, professionable product, and I only voiced my frustration about the clarity of the assembly instructions to help you fix them for future purchasers of an EXCELLENT product.
I purchased this Workmate to replace one that I had for over twenty years. This one is much lighter than the older version and easier to move around and hang on the wall. Seems to have the same basic accessories as the older model, but the table insert makes a much bigger work surface when using as a work bench.
I love this product. As a renter, I don’t have a designated work space. This convenient folding work surface lets me set up for projects anywhere. And the vise/clamping system is like having an extra set of hands. The Workmate is sturdy and yet collapses easily for storage. Hey, it’s as good as a guy–with no back talk.
The Black & Decker WM425 Workmate is a handy, versatile, portable tool within its limitations. At the Amazon price it’s a no brainer. It is not a precision clamping device for fine woodworking nor a heavy duty work bench. It is, however, very useful and unique for some tasks. My advice to prospective buyers would be to examine one before you buy and visit some of the woodworking/handyman forums on the web for some opinions as to it’s suitability for your use.
Here’s what it’s all about: the front wood slat is attached to a screw mechanism and works sort of like a vise. It moves about 4″ in and out when you turn the handles. The two rear wood slats are removable and can be locked in at various distances from the front slat so you can clamp small or large things. The four legs fold in and out. The whole tabletop can be tilted and locked vertically 90 degrees. The unit is very sturdy and makes good use of the stamped steel frame geometry for rigidity while not weighing too much. It folds flat for storage. The folding mechanism is such that it will not accidentally collapse on you.
It’s “OK”, and beats using a pair of horses with an old door on top. But that’s about it. I was surprised to see that the “chain” used for the vise hand cranks was perforated vinyl tape. That being said, you can’t grip anything real tight, because the sprockets will slip in the holes. If you are over 5′ tall, the optional leg extensions are a necessity. Without using them, you’ll end up with a major back ache from bending so low.
