Animated Vampire Decorations

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

On a rainy and stormy night I love curling up in bed under a bunch of quilts and watching scary old black and white vampire movies. (I prefer it when the blood isn’t bright red!). This has gotten easier because we’ve taken our flat panel television and mounted it on the wall so that it’s more comfortable to see when we’re lying in bed. So my neck doesn’t get a crick in it.

All of this fascination with vampires started for me when I’d come home from school and watch the Victorian soap opera Dark Shadows. The melancholy vampire Barnabus was one of my favorites. I’ve even visted the Newport, Rhode Island Mansion where Dark Shadows was filmed. So it’s now surprise that I love adding vampires into my decorations for Halloween.

Large animated vampires in their tux and capes make quite a statement in your front yard. For a touch of humor, I”ve added an inflatable animated hot road vampire coffin. Both kids and their parents enjoy this Halloween prop. I add red and black paper and plastic roses for a romantic touch.

You can decorate yourself for Halloween and coordinate with your vampire decor. Of course I’ll have my vampire fangs in. Instead of a black dress, I think I’m doing a red sequin cocktail dress and I’ll be holding black roses. Vampires do love to dress up.

Lladro Friends Figurine

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Honor your best friend at Christmas when you give them a Lladro friends figurine. Sometimes we can get caught up in our family dramas and our romantic relationships and sadly neglect our special friendships. If you’ve found you’re guilty of this faux pas, then a special gift at the Christmas season over a shared lunch is a great way to show your friend that you realize you’ve been neglecting them and that you’re ready to mend your ways.

A friends figurine is a fantastic gift, because it will stand the test of time – just like your friendship. It will look fantastic the entire year as it is proudly displayed on a fireplace mantle, on her bedroom vanity, or in a curio cabinet. It will be a constant companion reminding her of your friendship and support.

Lladro figurines are beautiful porcelain figurines that have been designed and made in Spain since the 1950s. As a result many of the designs have a wondreful retro vibe. If you or your friend loves mid-century decor, then one of these friends figurine would be perfect.

The friends figurines show relationships between family members like sisters. They also have adorable figurines that show children with their dogs or cats or with teddy bears.
